allowed. Very popular so advance booking is recommended.
The Royal Oak, West Street, Tel 01239 820632. Typical Pub Grub, but their curries are exceptionally good. Dogs
are not allowed, but they welcome “takeout” orders which include very good fish and chips. Recent reviews
haven’t been very favourable. Booking not usually necessary.

advertise that dogs are welcome.

open irregular evenings. Watch their board for times. Excellent “Tunes and Tapas” on Thursday or Friday
evenings, early pre-booking essential.

a week. Good food and welcoming staff.

it, others not quite so.

Velindre to reward yourselves with a drink & maybe lunch (only at weekends) at the Salutation. Popular with
locals.

Newport Links Golf Club and Cat Rock Cafe. Tel 01239 820244. Probably the finest setting in the whole of
Pembrokeshire with views over the bay. OK for lunch, mixed reports for dinner.
The Old Sailors Restaurant and Pub. Pwllgwaelod. Tel. 01348 811491. Wonderful setting on the beach side and
on the Coastal Path. Excellent seafood, especially lobster. Irregular opening hours, so telephone to book and
order the lobster or crab in advance.
Dinas Fish and Chip Shop. Tel 01348 811660. Good value. Pop next door to the pub for good local beer whilst
waiting. Excellent reports of other fish & chip shops in Fishguard too.
Gelli Fawr. 01239 820343. Drive inland or walk up the Gwaun Valley to enjoy a meal in the Preselis. Sunday
carvery.
